I started designing websites in 1997 using HTML. I switched to Dreamweaver when it launched in December 1997 and continued designing websites with that for a few years. The Air Force took away my ability to administer websites for my office around 2001, so I let my skills lapse.
In January 2013, I volunteered to work on a WordPress.org website, thinking that my prior experience would be enough. I quickly learned a lot had changed in the last 12 years. I took a few college courses and began working my way through how to manage WordPress, and haven’t stopped expanding my knowledge since.
These are the software programs I’ve used with my own websites and others that I have designed or managed in the last decade. In addition, there is a list of other software not related to website design that I have extensive experience with. I do NOT have experience with coding (other than HTML, CSS, and a smidgen of PHP), cybersecurity, and networks.
